Teresa Mango is an established and versatile free-lance harpist.
Teresa Mango is a performing harpist and educator with a well-established 35 year career throughout Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Vermont. Teresa plays numerous solo programs, performs with several orchestras, chamber groups and choruses, which include regional and internationally recognized artists. She also plays with theatre groups in the pit orchestras performing some of the greatest shows written for musical theatre.
Each December since 1994, Teresa has performed daily at Stockbridge’s Red Lion Inn. In 1995, Yankee Magazine published a feature article on Teresa at the Red Lion Inn at Christmas. In 2001 Teresa released her first CD “Christmas in Stockbridge”, and in 2006 released a solo Christmas CD “Peace”. She plays regularly at other northeast resorts and hotels from Albany, NY to Nantucket and from the Catskill resorts to the Adirondacks. In the Berkshires she often plays at Cranwell Resort, The Crowne Plaza, Blantyre, and Wheatleigh.
Teresa has been a regular guest artist at the New York Hudson River Historic sites from Olana and Claremont to Montgomery Place and the Senate House in Kingston, NY and in the Berkshires at the Norman Rockwell Museum, Williamstown’s Clark Art Institute and Naumkeag’s summer music series.
Ms. Mango’s orchestral experience includes the Hartford, Albany, Berkshire, Pioneer Valley and Glens Falls Symphonies. She performs with Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany, Barrington Stage and Berkshire Theatre Group in the Berkshires, The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck, The New York Theater Institute and for such entertainers as Johnny Mathis, Charlotte Church, Neil Sedaka and Barry Manilow.
Teresa continues to play for weddings and special events from Lake George to West Point and Southern Vermont and Massachusetts to Western Connecticut. Her repertoire includes a full range of compositions from renaissance through contemporary, popular standards and favorite show tunes.
Ms. Mango resides in Great Barrington, MA. She is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music with a Masters degree in harp performance. She is associate faculty at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT; teaches harp at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA; Taft School in Watertown, CT; Deerfield Academy in Historic Deerfield, MA; Emma Willard School in Troy, NY and maintains a private teaching studio at home.
